Anti-vibration weight is black steel roll  with soft anti-vibration material at the bottom.

Its effect is diverse:

1. reduces susceptibility (especially light) equipment to vibrations coming from the ground

2. absorbs vibrations of the housing

3. increase the effectiveness of anti-vibration pads and platforms

4. in the case of light equipment set on a platform with magnetic stands the weight is necessary for operation (deflection) of magnets

In a high-end system, literally every element of it, including loudspeakers and a power strip, should receive anti-vibration pressure. The sound improvement will be radical – it’s worth testing!
