Center of the world of Hi-End and Graj-End (Golden Tulip part 3): Avatar Audio
The last room at the end of the corridor is a very special place. For some, the temple of sound, for others a place of “light” misunderstanding, what it is all about. Native domestic producer with totally refined equipment. If the thickness of the hair could affect the sound, at Avatar Audio it would be measured and the relevant amendment included – I write these words as my personal expression of the highest recognition for a man who has been following the path of the extreme Hi-End for years, and like a Buddhist monk constantly strives to excellence.(…) The conversation with the owner of the company, Mr. Cezariusz Andrejczuk, was absolutely fascinating. On numerous examples, he showed what nuances have a real impact on the sound of the system, including a power distributor on a levitating anti-vibration base or felt on the loudspeaker’s housings.

The report: Avatar Audio at the Audio Video Show 2017:
Captivating and convincing with a rigorous approach to musical truth – detail, intricate shape and a sophisticated way of being. And also things rarely possible to simultaneously hear differently than live and up close – “scratching the sound” and stage pulsation. Such a scale of vividness is exceptionally rare, especially since paper diaphragms have gone. (…) Dynamics and vibrancy much better than previous years, led by stage playing drums with an extremely accurate delivery of the texture and spatiality. It hit me, because I have drums at home and I’m particularly familiar. There is also a spectacularly deep soundstage, and the instruments themselves in a concert style, over a large area, with due and not exaggerated reverberation. Overwhelming feeling of participation – I have not heard better this year. (…) And another thing of key importance – this sound accuracy is suspended in the perfect presence of space, deeply saturated with sound. The piano brilliantly resounded in a spatial aura, literally shaking me; and the additional great advantage was that the whole room, in all rows, was filled with sound to a similar degree. Without a problem you could listen in the first, middle and last row, which really does not happen very often. And over and over this harmonic complexity, the scale of dynamics, the vivid touch … I have been intoxicated, and the word “intoxicated” best reflects the state of affairs. This was not the only place where one could regain faith in a higher sense of audiophilism than entertainment itself, but certainly one of the few at the very front.

Next door surprised me Loudspeakers of Holophony with incredibly light and seductive sound.
Modular three-way system in solid wood housing carries modified vintage chassis, I think I have detected a Blackcone in the middle of a Saba Greencone and tweeter. Its incredible to get that warmth and transparency from these historical drivers.

“Holophony speakers from Avatar Audio, a Polish company. These had already struck us at the Norddeutschen HiFi Tagen 2015 in Hamburg. Holophony is indeed very special: the manufacturer uses only vintage diaphragms and / or vintage chassis from the 1950s and 1960s. Thus, for example, the tweeter is also a cone chassis, instead of the otherwise usual dome. Holophony are two- and three-way loudspeakers whose emotional response is exceptionally intense. Such a vivid and colorful, yet controlled and precise reproduction is difficult to find in this price class elsewhere, if at all. In addition to vintage diaphragms, Holophony also uses vintage components in its crossover. Although a multi-way concept, the Holophony sound more like an extremely “mature” broadband chassis – for us one of the discoveries of the Warsaw fair.”

Avatar Audio company always prepares interesting presentations, but this year something fulfilled, because the sound was phenomenal. Beautiful, warm voice is a merit both analog copy of the master tape, played by the tape recorder Revox and loudspeakers Holophony Number Two (tested by HF), but here in a revised version, established on the basis of our test – “mission accomplished!”
